Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
PRAISE
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, andsearched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11) We recently were out soul winning in
Cangrejos (this means “crabs”), a very economically poor community near Santo Domingo. It was my second timeto visit this community with the members of Iglesia Bautista Monte Calvario. The people were very friendly and
receptive to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many children, young people, and adults were asking us for the
tracts that we were passing out that day in such a manner that we left that community without even one tract
remaining. A total of 8 souls were saved on that particular day, and others came to church on the church bus the
following Sunday.
The Lord gave me the opportunity to interpret from English to Spanish in three services, in which over 28 souls
received Jesus Christ as their Saviour. One of these services was held at a basketball court, and 25 young men
were gloriously saved! Also, 3 ten-year-old boys that I led to the Lord during a youth conference were baptized at
Missionary Steve Sidler’s church and have been attending church faithfully.
PRAYER
Please continue to pray with us as we seek God’s will and leadership concerning where and when He wants us to
start our church. We have visited three different and very needy areas of Santo Domingo, with many other areas
of the capital city in need of soul-winning, Gospel-preaching churches.
Please prayerfully consider giving a special offering so that we can renew our residence visas. Our residencevisas are up for renewal this month.
Grace graduated from high school in May. Would you pray for her as she seeks God’s leadership for her future?
GRATITUDE
Angela and I would like to express our gratitude to each church and individual that sent cards and e-mails in
remembrance of our 22nd wedding anniversary. Outside of receiving Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour 24years ago, marrying Angela has been the greatest decision that I have made in my life. She certainly has been a
wonderful helpmeet to me. Thank you for your investment in the souls of men, women, boys, and girls in the
Dominican Republic. We look forward to serving together with you for many more years to lead lost souls
to our great and loving Saviour.

God has called each person at Solid Rock Baptist Church to become involved in some way in missions - whether it be to pray, to give financially, to volunteer, or to go on a short term mission trip. The door has been opened to many opportunities to participate in missions! Please seek God's guidance in prayer how he would have you serve.
