Though Assyria appeared powerful and invincible, God would bring their pride, wickedness, and oppression to a complete end while breaking the yoke they had placed upon Judah. Yet Nahum’s message goes beyond Assyria, pointing us to the greater deliverance found in Christ—the One who brings peace, freedom, and good news to His people.
